April 1943, England, it’s wartime, and 4 teenage boys are scavenging for food in the woods. One of them sees a wych elm (photo below), and thinks he might be able to find birds eggs. Instead, he finds a human skull. This discovery would lead to one of the most intriguing and baffling unsolved mysteries of the 20th century: Who Put Bella Down The Wych Elm?
